Arts, Media and Entertainment Magnet (AMEM) Awarded the California Department of Education Specialized Secondary Program (SSP) Grant For the Third Year!
Reseda High School’s new Arts, Media, and Entertainment Magnet (AMEM) and Reseda High School’s Science Magnet have each been awarded a $75,000 Specialized Secondary Program (SSP) grant from the state of California. These grants are awarded to support each magnet’s curriculum with providing funding for staff professional development and equipment. This is the third year of receiving an SSP grant from the state of California, as both magnets were each awarded $100,000 each the previous year. These grants are highly competitive, and must support the creation and implementation of a California Career Technical Education (CTE) career pathway. The Reseda High Arts, Media and Entertainment Magnet (AMEM) supports the Arts, Media, and Entertainment Pathway, and Reseda High Science Magnet supports the Environmental Science Careers Pathway. Congratulations to both Reseda High School magnets for being awarded a total of $275,000 for the 2015-2017 academic school years!
